Helpful to have ready
- Your address, so the right local company gets the request
- City water (which city) or a private well
- What you need: a new softener, a repair, a salt-saving tune-up, RO or well treatment
- The brand, model and age of any existing unit
- Any recent water or well test results
Softener leaking or the brine tank overflowing? Turn the bypass valve to bypass, or close the valves on either side of the unit, so the house still has water. Then unplug the control until someone can look at it.
